dreams drop themselves

on our lazy heads

on pillows and fortresses

of mayhem

we gather them carelessly

as if they could be

sold for cheap

then sudden pain appears

we wonder where

the dreams

have fallen into

as we reap

the neglect of self respect

bringing us to

fears, tears

where is my dream

where is my hope

as I wait in

desperate

panic

grasping nothing

alone
