love forgets me

in tangles of empty

sheets and blank walls

I let white paint cover

mix matched hues of you

conquering travesty after tradegy

lost to hold onto debris left

remnants tossed in the middle

of forgetting ...love

I move slow

so maybe I can catch

what I might have missed

in passing flickering past thoughts

sprinkles of memories

of your touch

is only a taste

of what I used to know

a former life

another time

another place

ruffled and thrown

void of feel

after the blood had stained

from an unspeakable pain

upon the death of my heart

in desolate caves

where no one hears

I'm back to not knowing

how love can be for real
