I wish I could turn Cold

And freeze my heart

And never have to spare a thought

Over how I was hurting you,

Deceiving you.

But despite countless

Desperate attempts

My heart has refused to succumb to ice.

So forget me.

Please, forget me

So that we may both move one

without regrets.

Like two snowflakes in the wind;

Beautiful,

Until reaching the ground

And gently, hesitantly,

Melting away

And becoming forgotten.
