Grey and Blue, Skies and Eyes

Poem by: Lenore G98

Summary

A poem about a guy I had once fallen for but had not told him my feelings. I recently had and it turned out he felt the same way but was already talking to someone else. She lived quite a distance, but was planning to move back. It turns out... he cared enough to push her away. Or so I thought.

A fire burns, hot and red.

The passion, the evil, flowing through my head.

They say you're the monster, it's actually me.

The truth is what your blue eyes will not see..

Behind those eyes lay a deep dark past.

A horrible time you hoped would never last..

things faded..your troubles were no longer.

To you, these troubles had only made you stronger.

Blue eyes met grey.. and everything good.

Two friends, nothing cae of it, nothing ever would.

One cold night, a year had passed,

Upon her front yard a shadow was cast.

The boy with the blue eyes, the girl with they grey.

She told him everything.. every feeling since that day.

That day they met there was an instant spark,

Not a planned feeling, just a shot in the dark.

He knew what she meant, he felt the same.

It's neither of our faults, guess cupid's to blame.

But the time was not right for this to be said.

For he had another girl in his head.

Utterly perfect..flawless not me...

A pair is made for two, only two, not three.

She's gone for now, but she'll be back.

Then his love will be another thing I lack.

The horrible things that will run through my head.

I'll push them aside and wish to be dead.

Do what you can, convince me in will be alright...

Nothing will change, do as you may.. do as you might.
