MAN O’WAR.

To the man who loves war

And all it’s bloody races

I bring you row upon row

Of cordite broken faces.

To the man who loves the kill

Here stands your victim’s mother

To forgive you if she will.

To those of you who will fall

Your’s is the hard ground

With it’s dignity, and honour,

That’s all.

Your broken, but alive,

I shall leave you to yourself,

For it’s on your memory’s

I will thrive.

To the man who shall say no,

With the war you’ve already won,

Persecution, and humiliation go.

Your trophy’s are broken bone,

Bitterly slow to heal,

In a land of spiritless homes.

To the man who shall go blindly,

I give you impatience, guilt, and doubt,

You are the sheep who waits,

For you know not what war is about.

To the children of war,

I leave you…..NOTHING.
