Christmas is not always the happiest time of the year for all. It sometimes helps to know that one is not alone. It is okay to feel how you feel, and know that the sun will rise again. A "hang in there" kind of poem.

Melancholy Christmas Holly

By Cyndi Burke on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 2:36am

To those who experience a little melancholy in the Christmas Holly,

I wish for you an over abundance of peace, even if you can't be jolly.

Holiday Seasons are hard to bear, when laughter has gone somewhere.

If you are alone, hurting, lost, upside down, or scared.

When the Christmas tree is as empty as your heart.

If someone is missing, or you are making a new start.

Maybe you have had some sad news...

Maybe you just have the blues...

Know that you are not alone...even if you are.

Know that a better day is coming, wish upon a star.

Let the child within come out to play

Escape melancholy if only for a day.

If your sadness has put you to bed, sleep if you must.

Never give completely up, and in God put your trust.

Money is just money and stuff is just stuff...

Loss is gut wrenching, and happiness is never enough.

This Season has come to you, and it will pass as well.

The wind will come again beneath you, and you will sail.

If a Melancholy Christmas has visited you before

I don't have to tell you, that there will be more.

Changes of the Seasons are coming your way

Embrace the changes, don't hold them at bay.

If you seek, you will find....

The changes start and birth in your mind.

Say "Merry" to "Melancholy" this Christmastime!
