Judging these contests were extremely tough. You all submitted such creative and wonderful pieces, proving that there is some very excellent talent
out there on Booksie! Here are the final judging scores and winners from both the Short Story contest and Poetry contest. For information on judging, see my profile page!
If you did not score first, second or third, but would like to know your final judging, just comment and ask! You all entered with amazing pieces and I was honoured to have read them. Good luck
next time, Booksians!
Short Story Contest
I asked entrants to use a song lyric in their short stories for this weeks contest - and the results were fantastic! M K Brown stole first place with a perfect 15 and a story that had me in stitches the whole way through! For a fantastically humorous read, head over to the first place link. Kenny, an entrant AND a placeholder in both contests held this week took second place with his very uniquely played upon song and well-written, enjoyable read. Round of applause for what he created here - check it out! R A B Bradbury placed third by one point with her psychological romance that had my attention and interest the whole way through!

Poetry Contest
I asked entrants to use the concept of the word "hidden" in their entries this week, and the outcome was very diverse. Some used exactly the word, some used the concept of the word, and some
actually hid something in their formatting! Kenny, who placed in both contests this week, took first with a score of 13 for his refreshing poem
detailing a beautiful scene. If you're looking to escape for a peaceful moment, check out his poem in the first place link. Marissa placed second in this contest with a
poem about the person within. Rae gets a kudos for her creativity, using a secret message in her poem about a gruesome love story gone awry.

Thank you so much! I can't believe I placed in both contests. It was a great group of writers all whose pieces were wonderful. Like you said, I know you had a tough decision. And I'm happy me and my friends took all in the short story competition. Little shoutout to RAB Bradbury and MK Brown. Both their writings are amazing. Go check them out! Well, thanks again. I can't thank you enough. :o)
