The bridge of time

I stand on the bridge of time

And while the passers-by smile,

I smile alone or not at all.

And while

Time steals my moments and my

HAPPINESS

I struggle through the obstacles

That others seem not to see at all.

And while I struggle in my growing

SADNESS

I cry no tears because I lack reasons

For all my fears.

Although, I do seem lost, not only to

My mirrored reflection, but to the

REST of the world;

LOST to every

Single one that passes me by with a

SMILE

That is but an illusion to keep

The WORLD

From seeing the true face of terror

That hides within all of us.

And at the end of this bridge, that

All of us must cross, time erases

All the things we have done and

Then

NOTHING

Matters…like it never mattered.

And fear takes hold of our fear, our

ANGER

And spreads the seeds across the

Universe

Where our children must still live.

This then is the fearful question:

WHY MUST WE LIVE?

And this is then its only sibling:

WHY MUST WE LOVE?

Thus, this is then the answer:

TO SEE WHERE WE MAY GO.
