There we were baking in the kitchen, comforting smells emerging from the oven.
Then bang! Andrew's trashed Jon's game, Mike wants to watch TV in peace.
Sometimes this house is very small, why do they have to take her attention?
WE were happy baking, the mixture ready, oven poised to work its magic.
(I love to watch the cakes rise from their frilly cases, all puffy and proud.)
But, now I'll have to wait again....quietly.... patiently...(I have no patience).
Now I have to wait until World War 3 has ended, a truce declared again.
Mum will have to mediate, then I can have her back, to finish OUR baking
and my long awaited time... with MY mum might continue, cakes might bake.
?Peace may prevail.
