What would you feel if you discovered he was back in touch with that woman again?

What works for you?

A quick note of thanks to my darling husband, for the beautiful flowers you recently sent.

Perhaps you should have asked the girl in the shop to write on the card what you’d really meant?

Seems to me there’s a couple of things you forgot in your heartfelt meaningful words.

Amongst your list of praise you forgot “silly fool” and “faithful lapdog”, or do I sound absurd?

I do hope you sent a second bunch to “E”, not as large as mine (that’s just not good sport)

With a note saying “Thank you for your continuing understanding & your endless support.”

The last time I came across “E” and your secrecy and deceit; I thought I had made it clear?

I warned you then that I had no intention of living my life alongside a philanderer.

I’d like to thank you for your support in my writing, now you’ll down in the annals of time.

And your assistance in my weight loss programme, this works better than any diet of mine!

Now I know a girl shouldn’t go snooping and prying through those things a man holds dear,

But I have to warn you, text messages; and call register leave a trail of evidence clear.

I’ll spare you all this mess this week; you’ve got a busy time at work that’ll be very tough,

I’ll keep this little secret between me and myself, can’t be that hard, you’ve managed it long enough!

Anyhow honey, I must run along, I’ve got to wake your baby girls before I leave to work today;

And get the house all nice and tidy, as I know that you like it to look that way.

Perhaps before you come back to me, with your implausible pathetic excuses and denial,

You could take a just a quick moment to glance the list below and ponder on it for a while?

You see I figure my sweet dear, if I could focus on a few things that I think you’d WANT me to be.

I could do my JOB better for you and you’d not need your relationships with people called “E”.

So if you could take a moment, in your busy corporate life, where you’re too busy to talk to me,

Glance at the list, feel free to tick as many boxes as you’d like then email it back, thanks sweetie!

Powerful messages for people on both sides of infidelity. It's easy to lose sight of all your partner does for you as time goes by in a relationship, and it's too easy to damage a relationship when this does happen.
I can hear the pain in this poem, but it's also a restatement of personal pride and power. I'm sure a lot of women would cheer this poem.

Shocker! I could sense your anger and yet I love the way you tinged it with satire and I could almost hear you spitting out the terms of endearment - great use of these. How dare he, not only do this, keep a secret and then assume you are ignorant enough not to even notice? I could just imagine those flowers being flung across the room - vase and all!
