Eric Hornberger’s keen use of language led him to become a world-renowned writer within a week of publishing his first novel. The pungency of his words left those who read him in a vertiginous haze and there were rumours that some of the more erudite would faint upon comprehension. After a rather pleasurable meeting with his literary agent in a large office building in the middle of the city, Eric decided to go on a leisurely stroll where upon which he sighted the most impacting scene any artist of his stature had ever come across. He immediately resolved to record the events unfolding in front of him and so he quickly rushed back into his agents’ office, grabbed a legal pad, and documented just what he had witnessed. He then wrote about how he rushed back into his agents’ office to explain what he had seen, then about how he wrote about how he wrote about how he rushed back into his agents’ office to explain what was going on outside. Eric Hornberger died twenty years later lying in the fetal position on his agents’ floor, writing about writing about what he saw to the hundred millionth degree.
