I lay me my head down after a day that may disappoint

Wearied, I fall asleep, gently and submissive

Afterward I awaken, relieved of every joint-

The essence of my pillow supports this life to live.

What connects minds to dreams

Are the paths our pillows make

But you can still dream without a pillow's seams

And you are wakened feeling opaque.

So when I am manifested to that same regress,

I fall to dream in my pillow's caress.
