When you were a child

We used to go to Little Hunting Creek

You would wade and splash and play

and float and dream and laugh.

Looking up at the oak trees

and the clouds, your heart at peace.

Now that you are grown, please remember

Little Hunting Creek, and the days you spent there.

And if you are sad, or angry, or if life is unfair to you,

Travel back there in your thoughts,

And let your heart find peace once more.
