I watch in horror
As they take my family away
Choking back tears
Pleading for them to stay

I hope someday
I will see them again
Wondering why they took all but me
The wretched Nazi men
Alone and confused
I sit here and weep
I walk through the house
Searching for a memory to keep

What I come across is surprising
Nothing I would expect
Everything is gone
Just some things torn and wrecked

When I pick up a note from my mother
Stating everything is okay
I hear a slam from the door
And a Nazi man takes me away

He lines me up with other children
All begging for help apart from me
The man looks me in the eye
And I smirk with glee

As I know what will how happen
What happiness he will bring
The man then turns me into an angel
With the Wind Beneath my Wings
