I looked at you through rose coloured glasses

Avoided other girls' wiggles and arses

Put up barriers when they made passes...

...and for what?

I looked at you like you were sublime

Thought looking at others, was committing a crime

When we became lovers, I got lost in time...

...and for what?

I saw you as more than a means to an end

Thought you'd be the girl 'pon whom I'd depend

Treated you like my number one friend...

...and for what?
