Life really is life

But not as we would like to know it

Plant a seed, water well, grow it

Hide your pain, ashamed to show it

Get a second chance, don't blow it...

Life really is life

But only when sold in a 'fire sale'

Buy an umbrella, avoiding the hail

Gravel the drive to your house with shail

Hide your heart that's the size of a whale...

Life really is life

But only when it's worthwhile living

Challenge your soul for being forgiving

The bad in the soil, spend your time seiving

Remember the days you were so full of giving...
