Overlooking friends for enemies on the horizon.

Use to know the difference,

Before all the disguises.

Breaking bread with your venom without even realising.

Hiding behind empty smiles,

Towards the very people I despise

My eyes refuse to lie,

So why pretend to be fine?

When your sabotage comes as no surprise?

He wants to know why I feel so down,

But I'd prefer to concentrate on the cracks in the ground.

Avoid the sun,

Because I can't stand the sound,

Of life treating me like a big mistake.

Filled in all the blanks,

But I've already lost the race.

I can't even read what I write anymore.

Cross the T's and dot the I's,

But the sentiment is always flawed.

I used to see a future,

But now I'm not so sure.

Everything is so incomplete,

Keep turning my back on the very things I used to adore.

What is wrong with wanting more?
