You are perfectly normal. You live in an apartment building in a city. One that isn't too noisy, but isn't too small. It's nice, you like it there. It's only a few streets from where you work. You have a good life, a normal life and you don't need anything else.

You are awaked from this odd dream with a loud buzzing. You turn over and look at your alarm clock, 7:00. You tap the "off" button and bolt upright out of bed. You walk across the small room to your closet and you grab your outfit for today. Same as usual, a pair of pants, a shirt, and a tie. Nothing flashy. You look at yourself in the mirror, raising your eyebrows making catcalls to yourself  "What's cookin' good lookin'?" or maybe a hearty "Come at me ladies." Normally you only do this for five minutes but today, you stare at your reflection thinking deeply about that dream. That dream...you can't remember.

You can't remember what it was, all you remember is that it scared you. There were flashes, images you couldn't quite discern from the darkness that surrounded everything that was happening. It sent chills up your spine. These images with the low hum of white noise playing nonstop in the background haunted your mind as you stared blank-faced into the mirror. You stare intensely, time having stopped, you feel yourself slip away. You are almost gone when...
