Broken dreams,
shattered hearts,
the things nightmares our made of...
For a man to force himself...
it wasn't right,
and my God the beatings,
I sobbed into the night...
Now the nightmares come,
Memories flashing before me,
I can no longer bear to be held...
Lord, it seems nothing will stop the pain...
A simple touch will have me screaming,
a prisoner of broken dreams...
The way he roams free,
it drives me mad,
but what can I do?
I'm only a woman,
and oh so afraid,
and so I remain...
a prisoner of broken dreams
...
