The Nigerian Email Scam

The Nigerian Email Scam has been going around for quiet some time now. Many people get these on a regular basis. The email starts out with a humble introduction and the dilemma that individual is in and if they could help them out by allowing them to deposit their money into your hard earn bank account. Then of course there is always a fee and not to mention the overseas phone number that costs a small fortune to call. The most recent Nigerian email scam is the Nigerians have figured out how to pick out our FBI and try to say they are going to freeze out your bank account and get you fired and if you pay them $98.00 they will call off the arrest. It also claimed that an arrest warrent was made and that I was put on the anti-terrorist watch list. I must admit they had a lot of nerve posing as the Director of the FBI. What seems to get me is, the Nigerians do not know enough about our legal system nor do they understand that all the information that they have currently provided is posted to the web.

I am an American Citzen and I am tired of the Nigerian Email Scam. It bothers me because there are people out in this world that despite the warnings are still falling for these scams. The email that I got was so grammatically challenged that I could not help myself to respond. I know it's better to ignore but I wanted that scammer to know that I was on to him. I'm not sure if I can post the actual email. I am just upset and decided what better way to voice my opinion was to do an article that might alert someone else of the current scam that is going on.

I also want to inform everyone that the FBI doesn't send via emails. They know everything about us and would contact us personally on a matter. In light of the email I have decided to post the email that I got. As a person can see there is no formal address of my name. There is no phone number of the director of the FBI and there current director is Robert Mueller III. It is very sad that the American people should even have to tolerate this type of harrassment from the Nigerian Scam Artist.

Attention, This is the final warning you are going to receive from me do you get me?

I hope you understand how many times this message has been sent to you?.

We have warned you so many times and you have decided to ignore our e-mails or because you believe we have not been instructed to get you arrested and today if you fail to respond back to us with the payment then we would first send a letter to the mayor of the city where you reside and direct them to close your bank account until you have been jailed and all your properties will be confiscated by the fbi. We would also send a letter to the company/agency that you are working for so that they could get you fired until we are through with our investigations because a suspect is not suppose to be working for the government or any private organization.
