I spent a 15 minute with a friend and she told me to be humble. I don't know why but I am glad she told me.

(A sonnet);

‘And if I must walk, humble I must.’

 (I) ‘A caution to Linda by Nondumiso.’

‘Linda worry not about cars, clothes and many more a material things.

All that will before long set-off. And yet our hearts will still be less mended.

It is not good luck that you must flourish,

It is the heavenly handicraft of the Man above.

It is a benediction.

This is my counsel to you; that you should never loose sight of your sense of character,

It’s my caution that you ought to be humble and shielded from external duress.’

(II) ‘A response by Linda to Nondumiso

‘I had never been gladdened for a while in spirit,

But I have consoled myself in material and disremembered that which puts the soul at harmony.

I did pray. I gave up. I died. And woke up the next day.

For long I was fatigued, sapped and reduced to nothing.

I have seen existences where the only motion was the gales

And I have pleaded to sail in them and evaporate into the horizon.

But at this veil of flourish you saw a new me; I am glad you did.’
