Sometimes we are too late for love or can we stick it out? We may have heard this before: had it been a different time and place me and you - would have worked out.

I, Being Guy(s)

I have learnt that people do not heal from pains of yester-relationships. This pain is bottled-up - they call it experience. For some, is all they take to the next relationship; It is always the reason they do not go all out; they begin to love less - to be cautious; to think of others as naïve if they believe in the idea of love; to think there is some ingenuity to human lies and infidelity; to think I, being guy/(s) are the same; to think in order to be happy, they couldn't be bothered about truths and lies - because (I, being (guy(s)) I'm engineered to lie, to break a few hearts before I take a plunge; these lovers know it all- they have seen it all; they believe less in dreams- but more to controlling their fates- or so they think they can; it is the only way to stay happy, or so they say; they build walls around their hearts, or so they think; they make excuses for showing least commitment (but, my family, my ex, my mother or aunt); they punish us (I, (guy(s)) for holding on to dreams and love; they consider us childish for willingness to accept most of their past-baggages; they think we are sacrifising our youthful years (our chance to lie, to extract sex and break hearts); that we are robbing ourselves of chances to break more hearts, to be liers, to have extra-marital kids, to screw everything that breaths before we take a plunge; they think we must have seen it all before we jump-in; they think of themselves as more wiser; they hold keys to all manner of wisdom; they have seen it all - made all mistakes; they do not deserve love - they have self-pity and low self-esteem; I, being (guy(s)) at the receiving-end of all, find myself having to dream less, least I offend their sense of reality; they enjoy their freedom to live alone, extract sex from I, being (guy(s)), they seek self-fulfilling-happiness and indulgence; they think, I, being (guys) I find pleasure in the arrangement undefined.
