Simple rhyme-based humourous poem as a tribute to the popular Japanese chocolate (or other flavoured) stick snack, Pocky.

No fancy literary stuff; pretty much just using it to test out Booksie :)

My eyes, occupied, my fingers reach,
fumbling at the pack
The empty crinkles jar my faith
where art thou, favoured snack?

Alarmed, I snatch the crimson case,
peering deep within
The final wand of happiness
peers back like silent sin.

I smile, I laugh, I take my joy,
and twirl it in the air
My foolish festive playing
drops the damn thing God knows where.

My world stops still, I drop to scour,
I take the world apart
My chocolate morsel's presence
dies as empty as my heart.

My eyes are occupied, my fingers reach,
Fear not, my favoured snack
Coffee, maybe strawberries;
there's always one more pack...
