My Answer

What do you want ? I want what we all want – but have been taught to only want what I have. I want thoughtless joy like that smile children have as they lay in peaceful slumber. I want that warmth that comes from the first day of spring when the sun shines upon your freckles.

I want the first kiss feeling that makes you blush and your heart race. I want that perfect embrace just right and safe but one that does not smother. That relaxed face that is formed as I lay upon that nook in your shoulder. That feeling that requires no words a quiet and all knowing place. It needs not ask what you are thinking. It is the sensation of calm and sincerity.

I want that recognition of spirits that I have when my son enters the room. The knowing of no matter what I will have your back and you will have mine. That enjoyment that does not recognize time. That rush and blush of new romance. The first embrace and the smile of eyes. I want it all …
