This is a poem about a young boy who decides to become a doctor when he grows up.

This is a story about a boy named Joe, He was only seven, I know, but Joe had a dream.

Anyway, Joe had a dream, a wonderful wish and he told his family of it while eating oatmeal from a dish. "I want to help people, help people feel better. I want to start in Winter, cause that's the time of icky weather." But much to Joe's dismay, his Mother told him of a delay. "Why, my darling Joe, I think it's great, you know that you want to help sick folks today, but honey, I believe you'll have  a little delay. You will have to go through many years of medical school, just so you can learn your wanted life-long tool.

Sure this was distressing, but little Joe believed he had a blessing. "God wants me to become a doctor he said, I heard him this morning, when I was in my bed. Sure he didn't speak to me, but I could hear him in my head. he said, "Joseph, I want you to become a doctor, no matter what,  I want you to believe me, and don't say but." And Joe worked hard alright, he thought about his dream every night.

Sixteen years later, a little boy woke up with a sore throat, his mommy took him to the ear nose and throat doctor, and he was taken care of by a new doctor, who's name was Dr. Joseph Walker.
