Just a little story I made up when I was young. Only recently did I adapt it into poetry.

Into the dark i wander,
leaving my world behind.
A cruel world of misery,
where all that see are blind.

Into the darkness i wander,
finding no sighns of life.
Just the echo within,
and lonlieness in this stride.

In circles i wander,
finding my way back home.
For a home of misery,
is better than being alone.

I'm blind in the dark,
with no navigational light
Is there any hope,
to dawn this eternal night?

A faint glow of red,
is one sight i see.
I feel I must follow,
or I shall never be free.

Smells and sounds of memory,
are breaking through to me.
Long in the distance,
a faint light i can see.

I'm home now,
away from the consuming dark.
Safe within my home,
With no bitter bark.

For twas a spider,
that iluminating flash of red.
that led me stumbling home,
into this welcome bed.

The widdow,
set the strange light.
after I was freed,
it set back to its
eternal night.

Twas the spider a spirit,
or just my own mind?
some mysteries,
I dont want to find

But i know.
If i lose my way,
that spider will come again
to bring me back to day.
