On the top of the world lies a lake,

It murmurs and whispers secrets,

Its colours are distinctively like nothing else,

The sun rays reflect splendid dreams,

While the surface just shimmers and shines,

The rest of the world breathes with the lake,

One lake... is the life for all.

Half of the lake allows no room to breathe,

Brooding down under is the restricted hope,

The bubbling and simmering bubbles,

 Only confirm suspicions,

No one dares to step and see the risk,

Only ones who wish their life away,

See hope that’s nonexistent.

In every life time power from that lake is with us,

While we hurt and our hearts may throb,

Our minds ache and twinge while we wince,

Half of that lake understands and whilst,

We burn and wish for the end,

The power that lake can surface...hope,

Over rides our riddles and curses,

And we dream like never before.

The dreams travel and absorb life,

Before waking us and choosing a side,

The lake of fire awaits... the lake of hope,

In my deepest cries the lake hears me,

And calls me to its side,

Not knowing which to choose I close my eyes,

And put faith in everything like never before.
