Just an old poem I found. It was one of my first acrostic poems.

Rate and review please!

Enjoy!

Noises in the night as I toss and turn in bed
Only my imagination, it's all in my head
I tell myself it's nothing, but these noises in the night
Strip away my sanity and fill me head to toe with fright.
Eerie sounds from my closet, voices whispering to me
Shrieking wind and awful laughter from someplace I can't see.
I lie here in bed paralyzed with fear
No one believes my stories of the noises that I hear.
They all laugh and tell me that the nightmares aren't real
How then do they explain the terror that I feel?
Every night I lie in my bed wide awake
Not sleeping for fear my soul they will take.
I lie in the darkness waiting for sunrise
Ghostly screams and tortured cries
Hypnotic melodies and demonic laughter
These noises haunt my nights hereafter.

Nights are simply terrifying. Thank God for nightlights. Read my new poem, A Segregated Heart, and voice your opinion on the question I ask.

Chilling!
Acrostic poetry is a rarity on here, nice to read something different for a change. Your wording was excellent, for the most part everything flowed undisturbed.
The topic matter is a bit unnerving to me, but that's only because I suffered from horrendous night-terrors a few years ago. Brings back some haunting memories.
I also liked the words that you used, demonic and hypnotic stuck out of the most.
Great job >;)

I actually suffered from night terrors when I was younger! Thanks for your comment!
