Time Is Up
A short story by LiviBear
Imagine a room. It is a dark room, with transparent walls. Hanging on these walls, are billions of clocks. Each clock is ticking. Not two clock displays the same time. The clocks represent a person's life span. The numbers grow bigger and the person grows older. When the clock reaches its limit, that person dies. Another clock takes it place. A child has just been born. Their clock has already begun to tick. Their time on Earth already beginning to wither away and slip through their fingers. Eventually, the clock will stop ticking. That child will die as an old man. Or maybe a young adult who was taken long before he should. But it is not up to him. The clocks decide when each person will leave this Earth. The clocks decide when time is up.
