This is just a short poem I wrote a few months ago at the peak of my depression.

I stand waiting to be washed by water

Begging to be cleansed of my deepest sin

To somehow deserve you again

The dark stain on my soul threatens to swallow me whole

Craving a small amount of solace to be sentenced

I am forced to my knees in an unholly repentance

My flesh burns as I desecrate this hallowed ground

My pain constantly dragging me down

Your dark eyes avert from my tarnished soul

Leaving nothing to console
