The night has always been more alluring to me,
Than the day could ever wish to be.
But I never knew I’d go this far,
I never knew I’d enter the dark.
I turn around to find the light,
But I cannot find it in my sights.
When life gives you lemons make lemonade?
Then what can you make when old scars won’t fade?
I’m a broken heart, you can’t truly fix me,
I’m hanging on the edge, soon to be falling.
A blood stain on the wall, a reminder of my past,
My arm is open with one quick slash.
The blood, it trickles down my arm,
There’s so much of it, though I don’t feel alarm.
Only fascination with the crimson liquid,
And then I realize what I just did.
I hit the vain that’ll end my life,
now I can no longer be called alive.
Maybe it won’t be that different after all,
I’m thinking through things when I hear death’s call.
“Awaken,” he said. “Your time has come”
As I close my eyes, my life is done.
I Am Over,
I Am Broken
