This poem represents how it's possible to keep on moving after you have suffered. Time hasn't stopped around you just because you have fallen, the game of life is still on. And the only way to continue playing is not to complain about your fall, but to stand back up and contend with the world.

One afternoon I walked through a park.

I met a child with a rip on the knee of his jeans,

and a small scratch embedded upon his leg.

He didn't complain.

He didn't sob.

He just kept on playing.
