Time Forgotten – Bridget Coffey

Countless tear-drops fill the air,

As you and I still hold our breaths.

Clocks ticking, days going by,

Yet the only things in my ears are the heartbeats of you and I.

Waiting for that moment, the moment were everything comes together.

Will it happen? No one knows.

I just hope I don’t impose.

Sing to me, softly, gently, just be there.

I don’t care.

Just don’t leave.

It’s been hard before, but now more than ever.

I just want someone to hold me,

And sing the words that heal my heart.

I’ve been betrayed, I’ve been forgotten.

Just yield caution.

I’ve been hurt, I’ve been misused.

Yes, I know I have issues.

But my worst issue is you.

And I’m just waiting for the que.
