This tale is not of love or lies
A story told through dark brown eyes
Just a story, where nothings true
Just a tale to rapture you

Oh no, 'cos listen, what you see
All that's mine, a part of me
With sights, once clear, not anymore
Are twisted round, from root to core

And does this mean I cannot see?
I cross the room, tread eagerly
And push my eyes hard on the glass
Try hard to view what's come to pass

Just try again, lean in real close
But still my eyes accept this ghost
This someone else, this outer shell
Inside my eyes, is where I dwell

Deep inside, my heart it bleeds,
Within my mind it starts to feed,
Outside my bodies almost torn
Inside this shell, my eyes are born

So flick my switch, ignore the signs
The way you're taught to wander blind
To probe the void without a care
A wonder you're still standing there!

I'm sorry, did I not make it clear
Since when did you suddenly get so near?
Just back away, just step aside
These eyes in which I'm forced to hide
Are glaring now, from thoughts to care
These thoughts that I must come to bare

And still my head, wretched up, it bleeds
Besides my mind, it comes to feed
Outside's my body ripped and torn
Within me now, my eyes are born
