Oblivious Daddy

Daddy, why are you so dumb

Calling her in front of me
Pretending she is nobody
When you don’t really see
Every time you ‘visit a friend’
I know its actually her
For nobody is that important
In your little world.
You say you love mum
With all of your heart
You say you loved her
From the very start
But now I know that
In love and love are different.
For in love is much more greater
Than love which was an accident
Sometimes I feel sad about it
That you probably have another family
But it’s your life and you own it
So please live it happily
When you are old and cannot move
I will wash and help you
I would still love you with all my heart
And accept the other woman too
When you finally tell mum about her
I will not be angry
For the truth is the truth and should be told
No matter how ugly.
