I didn't spend very long on this, when I write poems I rhyme, always.

 do not know what’s happening

Or why I feel so low

Or why I’m always hurting

If I did I’d let you know

Maybe it’s what he said

Or something on my mind

Maybe it’s time to go

And leave my past behind

Every night I close my eyes

I always see his evil face

My body frozen in fear

My thoughts I can’t replace

Now every time we kiss

And every time we touch

I see his smirking face

It really is too much

I know you’re not the same

I know you’re really nice

I can’t forget what’s happened

I cannot listen to your advice

I can try and make it better

I can try and make it work

I’ll free myself from him

And forget his evil smirk

But please do me a favour

Let’s just take it slow

There is too much going on

You really ought to know

Maybe I’m in love

Maybe I need your hand

Maybe you are the one

Who will finally understand?

Thank you for being there

I’m sorry I cause you pain

But thank you for showing me

You are not all the same
