“I’m a little Lady”

“I am a little lady,” said Fiona the little lady.
“I will be a little lady,” said Fiona the little lady.

Fiona’s parents knew to call her the little lady otherwise Fiona will get very mad indeed. But her school teacher and her classmates all laughed when she said she wanted to be called Princess Fiona the most beautifullest little lady. Her teacher said that beautifullest wasn’t a word so she changed it to Fiona, the little lady. They still laughed at her.
Fiona thought of herself as a lady but a little one. She had a pet lady bird which she called little, little lady.
Everyday Fiona would dress up as a lady would. She wore long, long dresses. Sparkly dangly necklaces and a big straw hat with a big purple feather on top of it.
She thought she knew how to be a lady. But she didn’t know what was ahead of her. She didn’t know that she had to ACT like a lady as well as looking like one.
When Fiona was in school her class mates didn’t bother looking up at Fiona. They were used to her grand entrance in her gown and her straw hat. They just kept on working. Fiona (the little lady) didn’t really care. As long as she thought of herself as a little lady then that was fine.
When the bell rang to go out for lunch, Fiona walked out carrying her princess Snow White lunch box and sat down on her favourite place, the bench under the huge tree. It was warm there but shady. She ate her sandwhich. And guess what was in it, cheese and ham. The ham was cut into a crown shape just like a princesses crown would look like.
As Fiona got up to play in the playground she heard a noise. It sounded like a soft rustle of leaves and then she heard a: “zchhhhhhhhzzzchccttttzhchzh”. A ripping noise. She wondered what it was. Fiona was the type of person who was very, very curious and liked to climb deadly high trees, but this tree that she was going to climb was the highest one yet. The tree didn’t have that many branches sticking out of it. The climb was going to be pretty challenging as well as had and very difficult. But Fiona dared to climb the tree and was up for a challenge. She stood on the bench but she wasn’t tall enough to reach any branch at all. Then she added her lunchbox onto the pile that barely made any difference. Fiona added more and more things but she still couldn’t reach it. Then she had an idea Fiona decided to stand on the back of the chair. The part which you lean on.
It was wobbly but it stayed in the ground. She jumped an as she did the bench toppled over. There was no way back now. She swung her leg over and stood up, she continued to climb the tree. A branch appeared to be just out of her reach. Fiona didn’t know what to do. If she missed she would fall but she just needed to find out what that noise was before.
Fiona stood there for a while.
“Come on Fiona jump,” encouraged someone in the crowd.
Then nearly everyone was shouting to tell Fiona to either jump or to come down. Fiona had attracted quite a big crowd. Maybe even the whole school. From the office Fiona’s principal could hear lots of yelling, screaming and shouting.
“Not again, can’t those basketball boys just sort things out themselves?”Groaned the principal.
The principal walked down one lot of stairs and then saw everyone gathered around the grand oak. As the principal walked closer to the grand oak the path cleared out for him. Like most schools everyone suddenly turned from a devil into an angel.
In a stern voice, very quiet but strict he said “Get down now Fiona or you will be in deep trouble.”
This made Fiona slightly scared she was to curious to describe and just HAD to find out what the noise was. For once she wanted to show the principal that she could do something right. So she jumped, everyone held their breath and when she swung her leg over the branch everyone “phewwwed.”
The rest of the way was easy for Fiona. Then she climbed to the very top. Oh what a great view it was up here, but when she looked down it was frightening but she searched through the branches and saw a glimpse of red twirling around. She tugged at the red and found out to her disappointment that it was only a kite.
Well secretly Fiona was hoping it was a fairy or a pixie. She knew that it wasn’t that likely. At least she had fun this lunchtime.
“Well done little lady Fiona you found my son’s kite, he’d been crying about it ever since he’d lost it. But next time don’t get your hopes up that it might be a fairy or something, I know you have a creative mind but don’t use it in climbing trees,” said the principal.
Then the principal did something no one ever would have believed he would have done. He winked at Fiona but only Fiona saw it.
Fiona was lying on a mob of people and they were cheering loudly, “Fi-on-a, Fi-on-a!”
Fiona felt so proud she was called little lady. As soon as she got home she told her parents all about her nig adventure at the school lunch-time. They were very proud.
The next day when she went to school her teacher said this:
“Good-morning little lady.”
