Shay is your average black girl. Joey is your average sweet guy, never judgmental and always there for anyone who needs him. Chase is your average racist guy, hating anyone who isn’t white. This is their story, their romance, and their lives.

This story is about racism and love.

Shay Connors is a smart, funny and talented sixteen year old. She doesn’t have the greatest life. Her mom abuses her, she has to work her butt of to keep both of them clothed and feed. Things never go right for her, and everyone wants to see her fail. But, Shay isn’t a person who gives up.

Luck is finally on her side, when she gets accepted to her dream school, Eastside Prep. The only downside, East Prep, is known to have rich, racist students and teachers. Shay is the only black student attending East Prep, and it doesn’t help that she isn’t rich. She gets bullied everyday by her new classmates. Especially by Chase Masters, and Summer and Autumn Winters.

Only one person does her no harm, throws sympathy her way, and is there when she needs a shoulder to cry on, Joey Andrews. He’s always there when Shay needs him most.

This story contains racist remarks and also cursing.

Also, I’m not trying to offend anyone with this novel.
