This is how I feel sometimes, I guess. In the POV of a bird.

The waves crash constantly, crashing and thrashing my fragile heart,
Breaking and breaking into little pieces, so fine and mist,
The feathers from my wings are slowly falling off,

As I soar in the wind that is mindlessly flowing,

The stars are twinkling so brightly above me,

And the moon reflecting the water so clearly,

But there is no beauty from what I can see,

Only the destruction from being always alone.

I have the wings to carry me away but I fear of being free,

Wishing to spread them across the sea of blood and rise up into the night,

I take no comfort of the things of the world but nonetheless it was hard to imagine,

A place where someone would accept me from who I am, a place where I belong,

Sitting upon the mountain peak, crying for a friend, crying for love,

Only to see with my small eyes that no one was around for miles, or forever.

I take off with the thermals bubbling beneath my wings, the only word in my mind,

"Always alone."
