Release My Soul

Her cries they are heard

They echo with pain.

Her sorrows are given

Like the fresh fallen rain.

Her grief is emptied

Her sadness released

So that she may live

Her life in peace

Her cries they are heard

Her mourns they are long

She cries alone in the dying light

Her eyes they are covered

With glistening tears

She has grieved for many long years.

Her pain is brought forth

Like the sun every day

Her cries they are heard

From far, far away.

Make it end

One may shout

But she will not stop

Until peace is certain

And war disappears.

She’ll sit there

Through day and through night

And cry her sorrows

Till her throat is dry.

She’ll cry until she can cry no more

And her voice gives out

Till another morn

Her echoes are heard

Off the canyon walls.

If you listen quite closely

You’ll hear what she calls

Release my poor shaken soul

Release it so I may go

I long to rest

For the rest of my days

And erase the fog that threatens to delay.

Release me for my troubles are growing

And they are filled with searing pain

Release me so my soul can float free

Release my so that I can finally see

The true meaning of peace

The true meaning of hope

Release me so I may see light

Where ever I go.
