My eleventh grade history teacher had us watch a movie about a study a guy did. In this study he had people believe they were electricuting people to the point that they could die. the people pushed a button and watch the effects of it on the person they thought were in the other room. they would all get to the last button that could kill, and they would all try to stop. but the "scientist" (a random man in a lab coat) would say to go on and they wouldn't get in trouble for anything. that all they had to do was follow their orders. and all of them pushed the button that would have killed the person if it were real (which all of the people thought it was). That's really sad how people would kill others just to follow orders.

“Just following orders”
The most pathetic thing that you can ever say
Is that you were just following orders
It’s your choice what you do.
You know the consequences of your actions
Orders or not
You know that, in war
Some orders cost lives of innocent people
And other orders just cost the lives of all the other people
Just following orders.
It’s a shame for you to follow others orders
Then blame your actions on those orders
You knew the consequences before you did it
And you had a way out
Maybe at the loss of your job
Your friend
A family member maybe
But at the gain of one or more lives
So go ahead
Follow your orders
Become a slave to the person who decides what you do
But know
That’s it’s a shame that you can’t
Or wont
Decide for yourself
But choose to be able to blame your actions on orders
So go ahead
And follow your orders
