I Eat My Vegetables With Cream

I live in the frothy home of soft whipped cream/
swimming in a sea of pure delight
you live in the world of vegetables
bitter when you take a bite

but I know that I’m not one to judge
whether sweet and salty go together
and I know that it’s not my right to say
that together we wouldn’t last forever

but when I think of you and me
we make a taste I can’t describe
its like nothing I have ever tasted
the kind that is not put beside

so is really quite so silly?
To mix your vegetables with cream?
Because if they fit that well together
maybe they’re not just a dream
