Another poem I wrote for the love of my life, to be a constant reminder of our undying, timeless love.

A Reminder to My Kat

My journey through this life feels so short and yet it is so intricate.

The sands of time move ever forward, becoming forgetful of way back when;

Not that back is where I want to be, joyous as times may have been.

If I ventured backwards, I would find myself an unsettled immigrant;

Lonely, lost and lingering, with an absence of the purpose I found in you.

No, the past has become a swirl of unwarranted nostalgia, in spatters;

Much rather I want time to stop, in this beautiful place we are currently going through;

For in this time I’m together with you, where nothing else matters.

But, lest you forget, that is something that is unchanging, something that is eternally pure;

I love you, you love me, of this you can be sure.
