This heavy weight lies on my chest,
Lay me down and leave me to rest.
My body has failed and no longer loves,
My soul took off to migrate with the doves.

This dark feeling inside my heart,
Convinces my mind to let go and part.
Long days exhaust me and show me no light,
All my dreams have drifted out of sight.

No light, no love, no symbol of kindness,
I begin to wonder if im ever to find this.
Your heart is dark and shows no mercy,
Your selfishness reigns and often hurts me.

My home is no more as I crawl through the door,
Just wreckage left from the cruel nights before.
Should God ever find you I hope he is ashamed,
To know that someone like you lives untamed.

As darkness falls I shudder to think,
That tomorrow I wake again to your stink.
Your tempered ways and heavy hands,
Have laid me to rest and dance in the sands.
