She's fighting for nothing.
All is lost and there ain't a drop of sunshine.
Cloudy days are common,
gorgeous ones are few and far between.
Kind of makes her wonder where it all went,
where it was all spent.
Who it was done with,
and how it all happened.
What sense there is to be made,
or if there's any left at all.
Why it had to come to this,
and if there was another way out.
Jagged memories, remember?
The ones that force her to never forget.
Smiles portray the deepest of sadness,
tears are equivalent to sheer happiness.
Let it all just simply be
this backwards world we all live in.
Tosses and turns, three flips backward,
one step forward and six to the right.
She wonders why the world just up and left.
