It just never ends,
one more thing, brought on by another.
One she used to trust
is now one she does not.
She used to look up to the certain one,
thought this one was of interesting character,
and true was that.
Unknown she was blindfolded by flattery,
the most discreet of such.
At least not until it became known to her
as a shocking slap in the face.
Why would this happen?
Because of this and another occurance,
she isn't sure of whom she trusts.
At a time like this she wonders --
is trust even possible?
How will this affect her?

So easy to fool, she is,
an easy target, it's always been this way.
Truth be told, it hurts,
like a knife to the heart.
The question "Why her?" has been answered,
clearer than glass.
She was naive to see it before
so it came hard, and rightfully so.
She is happy time heals
but wants the healing process to hurry.
Life is put on hold
because of all this stress.
Then again, either way things go,
they'll get theirs.
