The waltz commences,
dresses; white as picket fences.
His hand on the small of her back,
staring into her eyes, emotions lack.
Corset laced tight up her unloved body,
feelings dying, turned foggy.
You were always looking at her
from across the room.
The one you are with
is not who you wish.

One, two, three, break me;
break it. My heart.
Tear it up, ruin it, destroy it.
I don't want it,
there's no need for it anymore.
Consider it cast away:
your afterthought.
Consider her cast away.
The one you are with
is not who you wish.

Bold lines turned faint,
there was never any hope
for the relaxed, the uncaring.
The three-fourth continues to play
and the ties on her heart
continue to fray...
You were always looking at her
from across the room.
The one you are with
is not who you wish.
