Isn't it funny how right when you get to know someone,
in all seriousness, really get to know them,
finally give your complete trust and your heart to;
you watch them take your heart, and love it,
next moment you're watching it lie in pieces, on the floor.
Whether they meant to or not, it's how it happens.
It's almost enough to laugh at, in a sense,
how long it took her to realize how she felt,
how hard she had to fall...
And right when she had decided to give love another chance, too.
Naive all around, some would say she never knew what hit her.
Others would say she knew, but chose to ignore it.
A love gained and a love lost.
A new kind of pain to experience, one she was unfamiliar with.
Several nights ago she prayed to go to sleep
and never wake up.
But that didn't happen obviously, sadly.

People hurt and they cry
and nothing seems out of the ordinary.
As if crying and feeling depressed everyday
might actually pass as normal.
Life is dead, it appears.
Do people really have feelings anymore?
Not knowing how everyone else feels
makes the whole world seem so monotonous,
as if everyone's just another robot.
Her ability to feel has left her,
and nothing but emptiness has taken it's place.
It's at this point in time you realize what you're worth to someone.
When you realize the answer is nothing, it's time to move on.
So, thank you for making her feel like she was worth something
and then taking that away from her before she could blink.
It helps remind her she's not worth anything at all.
And there she lay.
Lonely, with a broken heart.
