Miranda was fifteen years old. She was 5.”1”, and weighed ninety eight pounds. Miranda was pretty with dark brown, wavy hair, and green eyes.On May 9th she was wearing dark blue jeans , a white tank top and a green sweater. As of this morning May 10th the whole country has heard this information. Miranda Daves is missing.

She was last seen by her best friend Tiffany, at nine o’clock yesterday at school. This was according to Tiffany and seems to be correct as far as the security cameras go.  Now the questions remain of where she is, who took her, and why. Unfortunately all of these questions still remain unanswered.

At this moment Miranda’s Mom and Tiffany are at the police station be interviewed by FBI agents in hopes of finding some answers.

“She said she was just going outside for five minutes to get some fresh air and then she would be right back. She had said she had a horrible headache and didn’t feel to well. She wasn’t back in five minutes so I went to class. She never showed. “Tiffany paused for a moment wiping her eyes dry of tears.

“What did you do then?” asked agent Morgan.

“Well I thought maybe she might have phoned home and got Mrs.Daves to pick her up ‘cause she didn’t feel well. So I quickly went to the office and asked the secretary and asked her if she had seen Miranda and if she had gone home. She said no.” Tiffany paused again due to her emotions taking over her. “as soon as I heard that I ran outside , hoping she was there. I saw her sweater laying on the ground and dark tire tracks on the rode near her sweater. Then I told the secretary and she called the dealt with it.”

“Is there anything else Tiffany?” asked agent Morgan. “Was there anything or anyone strange around the school yesterday morning.

“Ummm, well there was one older man who neither of us recognized. But we saw him get in his vehicle and leave.”

“Was he driving a blue Chevy Tiffany?”

“Ya at least that is what I remember. How did you know that agent Morgan?” asked Tiffany curiously.

Well we were watching the security videos your descriptions of the man and the vehicle also matched the man we had thought to be suspicious that drove a blue Chevy.” Exclaimed agent Morgan. “We are pretty certain he took her. The problem is that he parked behind some of the school ground trees, where the security cameras aren’t able to catch anything. But so far we haven’t thought of any possible motive he may have for kidnapping Miranda.”

“Did you hear anything? Like Miranda?” Asked Tiffany nervously.

“Yes. We heard her try to yell for help and then scream. You may go now.” Said agent Morgan “Thank you for your cooperation you were very helpful.”

“You are welcome anything to get Miranda back.” Replied Tiffany. She then walked out the door. To find Mrs.Daves sitting on a bench in the hallway.” Your interview over too Mrs.Daves?”

“Yes it is. Did your interview go alright?” asked Miranda’s Mom.

“I guess it went as good as it could under these circumstances.” Tiffany said quietly.

Mrs.Daves said good bye to Tiffany then and left for home. Tiffany was headed for Kevin’s house. Who was a good friend of Tiffany’s and was also Miranda’s cousin.

Ten minutes quickly passed and she was at was at Kevin’s house. They were both speak about all their worries about Miranda.

After half an hour’s time they received a phone call from Mrs.Daves. She told tiffany and Kevin that the blue Chevy isn’t from there town Port Angeles but from a town about an hour from Port Angeles .The Police are on there way there to see if that is where Miranda is being held. The Chevy was spotted there this morning.

“We should go there, just to see if they find her I mean it won’t be too dangerous there will be lots of cops there. Wanna go?” Asked Tiffany.

“Get ready. I’ll go start the truck. So hurry.” instructed Kevin.

Kevin was seventeen, two years older than Miranda and one year older than Tiffany. So thankfully he could drive and he owned a truck..

Kevin and Tiffany left a note so at least Kevin’s parents would know their whereabouts when his parents got home. Then they started their trip out of Port Angeles.

An hour passed in mostly silence as they arrived at their destination. This was totally not what they had expected. It was a small town not a big city like they thought it was going would be.

“Ummmh, this is a creepy place.” Mumbled Tiffany.

“Well it looks like a place where a kidnapper would live.” Replied Kevin.

“Or worse people.”

“Oh calm down. Let’s just just find the police and hopefully find Miranda too.” Kevin said confidently.

In under ten minutes they had drove through the whole town. The cops and agents hadn’t arrived yet. Also the blue Chevy was nowhere to be seen.

“Should we wait for the police and stuff?” Tiffany asked.

“No lets go ourselves. We need to find her fast. I can’t let my little cousin go through this. Sooner we find her the better.” Kevin answered.

“Your right Kevin lets go now.”

Kevin and Tiffany parked the truck and got out of the vehicle. For a short moment they both stood in silence thinking of their next move to make and how creepy this little town really was.

“I’ve gotta admit Kevin I am sorta scared right now.”

“Imagine how Miranda feels right about now Tiffany.”

“Oh ya” she said feeling kind of stupid.

They both began to walk down one of the few streets. There were very few people out of there houses and shops. In fact it looked almost abandoned. Soon they approached a building that for some reason seemed more suspicious then the others. Or the side was an eye level window. Kevin stopped and motioned for Tiffany to stay standing where she is. He then approached the window and looked into the garage. Parked inside was the blue Chevy truck. Soon they also found that the license plate matched the kidnappers .

“Wow! I think we found the kidnapper Kevin.”

“No, really?” Kevin said sarcastically.

“Should we wait for the police? Or are we going in?” She asked nervously.

“They were supposed to be here already. I don’t think they are coming. Let’s go this is dangerous. “

“But we , we can’t leave her here. Should could get hurt, Miranda could die Kevin. We can’t let that happen.” Stammered Tiffany.

“You’re right. That’s why you are leaving and I am going in.”

“You are crazy! Do you wanna get kidnapped too?” she snapped.

“Well if we both went in we could both get kidnapped. Now if you care about Miranda you will trust me and leave. With the truck go look for a police station here.”

“Oh alright.” Mumbled Tiffany quietly.

Tiffany quickly ran over to the truck got in and began her search for a police station. Kevin started for the back door in hopes it was unlocked. The back of the house was a mess like the front. The grass was long and uncut, and full of weeds. And unlike the front there was a blood trail going to the back door. Slowly he approached the back door avoiding stepping in the blood. He reached out and carefully got a hold of the doorknob, which was unlocked. Shaking, nervously he opened the door just slightly. Suddenly a hand grabbed him, and pulled him into the house. He was forced down hallway. Kevin was fighting it trying to yell for help but it was no use. He was thrown violently into a small room where he landed beside a large man’s feet. Once he regained consciousness he saw that an the other side of the room sat Miranda. Her hands and feet where tied and she had a cloth covering her mouth so she could not speak. For a moment they both just stared in amazement at each other. He then realized how badly she looked. There was bruises all over her arms and scratches and cuts all over her face. Kevin guessed and concluded that her arm was broken because of how she held it even with her arms tied together she held it limb. Kevin then mouthed the words “are you ok?” Miranda slowly shook her head yes. Miranda was just about to ask him the same question but she got interrupted by the sound of sirens. Kevin jumped up in relief but then was thrown back down by the man. Who now stood leaning against the door. Downstairs the police forced open then now locked back door and walked in slowly.

“FBI” was yelled by one of the agents loudly enough that Miranda and Kevin could hear it from down the hallway.

With their guns held in front of them they walked through the house in search of the victims and the criminals. First they found the first guy who was the one caught on the security camera.

“On your knees. Hands behind your head.” Commanded Agent Morgan as she stood in front of him with her gun in her hand.

She stayed in this position as another officer handcuffed him and held him still firmly. The others went down the hallway, and cleared the rooms as they went. Finally they reached the right room. With difficulty they forced their way into the room. Immediately they grabbed the man and took him out of the room, and both criminals were taken away in police cars.

Detective Morgan and others rushed to the sides of Miranda and Kevin. Miranda was untied at last and they were both taken in ambulances to the Port Angeles hospital.

Miranda had a broken arm and other minor injuries. Kevin came out with only minor injuries. Their families and Tiffany met them at the hospital. And were all happy they survived.

For Peter and Alan, the known criminals who where the kidnappers. They will be spending a very long time behind bars.

Miranda Daves and her brave cousin Kevin Daves were missing and now are found.
