The knife is cold but the silver shines bright reflecting in the dim strained light
The first slice makes me gasp and crimson drips to the floor
But I exhale slowly knowing the blood will drip away my problems until they are no more
I laugh as I continue to hack away, thinking now I wont be touched again in human day
My blood turns cold as I think about what I will be
When no more problems of life can haunt me
Invincible in a world of pain I know what I am doing is a very great gain
I take hold of the gun and point it at my head knowing very soon I shall be dead
I have no hope of what I could be and counseling can not help me
I will soon be a body with my spirit past on to the Lord
But on earth only another name on a teen suicide board
I fill my lungs with my last real breath of air
